Parasite eyeglasses – unique concept of eyeglasses
French company Parasite was established only recently in 2002. It is not just another new brand in the market, but it is a completely new and unique concept of eyeglasses, which will take at a glance. Unlike conventional eyeglasses frames, temples of Parasite eyeglasses have no standard use “behind the ear”, but touch the sides of a head at four points, what in the case of right set up guarantees that eyeglasses will not move even in the most demanding positions, that climbers often have to face when climbing up the walls.
No pressure behind the ears, just a grateful feeling. Comfort of wearing is unique. This revolutionary design was originally designed for the French climber Liv Sansos. Today the Parasite has a large collection of prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses and includes classic, futuristic and extravagant designs.
High quality of materials and processing technology as well as used sun lenses are at the highest level. Frames are made of one clad of special flexible steel “steelskin”, which provides the full adaptability and stability at all occasions.
Polycarbonate lenses of the French brand Stamine are used for the production of sunglasses. Polycarbonate is almost indestructible material, which has excellent optical properties at the same time. Stamine lenses are multilayered – there is an antireflect layer and scratch-resistant layer outward. Some of them are polarized or self-coloring in very interesting color combinations. Frames are painted by hand, while some color alternatives present up to 14 layers of paint.
